a.m.是ante meridiem的缩写，意为“上午”；
p.m.是post meridium的缩写，意为“下午” “晚上”。
如：
9:35a.m.=9:35 in the morning 上午9点35分
4p.m.=4 o’clock in the afternoon 下午4点
注意：
a.m./p.m.之前不可有o’clock，也不能和morning/afternoon同时用。
例如：，“上午8点”不可以说at 8o’clock a.m.或at 8 a.m. in the morning,应说 at 8 a.m.或at 8o’clock in the morning或at 8 in the morning.
